The Best High Protein Ninja Creami Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe (Low Calorie & Creamy)
This high protein Ninja Creami chocolate ice cream recipe is low calorie, ultra creamy, and easy to customize with your favorite mix-ins. The perfect healthy dessert!
Course Dessert, Snack
Cuisine American
- 10-12 ounces unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder we use Optimum Nutrition Double Chocolate — the same one from our Wendy’s Frosty copycat recipe.)
- 1½ Tbsp skinny hot chocolate mix
- 3 Tbsp Splenda
- ½ tsp Xanthan gum
Step 1: Blend the Ice Cream Base | Whisk together all ingredients together until smooth and fully combined. Alternative method is using an emersion blender. We do not recommend a blender, as this adds too much air to the mix.
Step 2: Freeze | Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint container and freeze for at least 16 hours.
Step 3: Prep the Pint | Run the outside of the frozen pint under hot water for at least 60 seconds before spinning.
Step 4: Spin on Lite Ice Cream | Place the pint into the Ninja Creami and run the “Lite Ice Cream” setting.
Step 5: Add Mix-Ins | If the ice cream looks powdery after the first spin, don’t panic — that’s actually perfect for this stage. Use a butter knife to create a hole down the center of the ice cream and add your favorite mix-ins.
Step 6: Run the Mix-In Cycle | Run the “Mix-In” cycle and enjoy.
Optional: Re-Spin | If you want an even creamier texture, you can re-spin the ice cream. We personally prefer the consistency after the mix-in cycle because it keeps that thick Frosty-style texture.
