DIY Stress Reducing Essential Oils

Raise your hand if you are on the brick of punching all those in quarantine with you, or if you already might have done just that! ✋? Hey, no judgment here. What’s “acceptable behavior” during these trying times I’m sure are quite different and totally okay with most of humanity right now. We all gotta survive somehow, right? ? Okay, okay…don’t get physical. Instead, we suggest creating an environment of “zen”…

Listen, it’s close quarters for all of us across the globe…literally! All of us! Crazy! So, take a few minutes of “me” time to relax and de-stress with this incredibly easy DIY De-Stress Essential Oil. TBH, this crafts is a great way to zen out the entire household. #winwin ?

Some quick information about essential oils, as well as some good resources are below…

Lavender – this essential oil is widely used for obvious reasons. Studies also show that is helps to calm nerves and assist with anxiety (hell to the yes!). ??

Frankincense – also popular in all sorts of aroma therapy, this essential oil promotes calmness, relaxation & deep breathing for staying healthy. Deep breathing is where it’s at, so sign me up!

Tea Tree Oil – this oil possesses antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antifungal properties. I think this is self explanatory as to why this is necessary right now… ? Feel free to add or omit. I am currently embracing all things “anti-gross”, so this oil is necessary in our blend.

Dark colored spray bottles – using a dark colored bottle (cobalt blue, like we used, or a dark brown is very popular) versus a clear bottle is purely to protect the essential oils against UV rays so they continue to work as they should.

So, go on babes…go ahead and blend up your own stress reducer! Mix up your own concoction using your own favorite blend or go-to essential oil scent, or take our example below. All you need is a few drops of each, secure your blend in a dark glass bottle with a stopper insert, shake up and bam! You’ll be experiencing some much needed zen in no time. ??

What You Need:

Dark Colored Spray Bottles (2 ounce size – feel free to use a bigger one and double the amount of liquid used in each)

• 20 drops lavender essential oil

• 20 drops frankincense essential oil

• 20 drops tea tree essential oil

• 1 cup Epsom salt (optional)

Step by Step:

1. Place each selected essential oil in a dark-colored bottle.

2. Place the vertical dropper securely into the bottle.

3. Place the cap on the bottle.

4. Shake the bottle to blend well.

5. Optional: add about 5-10 drops to 1 cup Epsom salt to a warm bath and soak for maximum relaxation. ?

6. Additional Option: Add a few drops to your own essential oil diffuser for max aroma distribution. ??
