These Healthy Frosted Fudge Brownies are super easy to make, and only take 20 minutes to bake. Top them with our homemade decedent, yet lower calorie fudge frosting for the perfect summertime chocolate treat. ?

What You Need
Brownies:
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp coconut oil
1/2 cup maple syrup (agave works, too)
1/4 cup nonfat plain greek yogurt
2 large eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Frosting:
1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
2 Tbsp almond milk at room temperature
1/4 cup nonfat plain greek yogurt
2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
2 Tbsp dark cocoa powder
Step by Step
Make your Brownies:
1. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees.
2. Prep an 8×8 or 9×9 inch aluminum pan with nonstick spray.l, and set aside.
3. Prep two large mixing bowls. In one, combine your dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. In the second bowl, whisk together your eggs, oil, syrup, yogurt, and vanilla until smooth.
3. Pour your dry ingredients into your wet ingredients a little at a time and mix until incorporated. Don’t overmix.
4. Pour you batter into your greased pan and spread.
5. Bake for 15-18 minutes. You want these fudgy so don’t overbake. They won’t look completely ready but they will firm up as they cool.
6. Let the brownies sit for 8-10 hours or overnight to cool completely and firm up.
Make your frosting:
1. Microwave your chocolate chips on high for 20-30 seconds. Stir and repeat until fully melted.
2. Once completely melted, add in the almond milk, yogurt, and powders. Stir until smooth.
3. Spread on top of your cooled brownies.
