Step by Step
1. Melt your Soap Base: Heat up about 1 lb. of your soap base blocks in your glass measuring cup in the microwave. I suggest cutting off 4-6 blocks at a time (then cutting into smaller pieces so it melts easier). Add in more blocks from there if needed. I started with 20 seconds in the microwave, and placed it back in for 10 second intervals until it was melted all the way through.
2. Add in Soap Colorant: Once melted, add in a couple drops of your soap colorant. We did two batches — one that created a more earthy brown color, and the other a peachy orange color. Feel free to create any color you want!
3. Stir in Pumpkin Spice: Add in about 2 Tbsp. of your pumpkin spice and stir until thoroughly combined. We used our homemade pumpkin spice (see easy recipe below to easily create your own).
Pumpkin Spice Recipe
– 3 Tbsp cinnamon
– 1 1/2 tsp ginger
– 1 1/2 tsp nutmeg
– 3/4 tsp allspice
– 1/2 tsp ground cloves
4. Pour into Mold: Pour your soap into your molds and let sit for an hour until hardened. You can also place them in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
