Homemade Greek Yogurt Chocolate Raspberry Popsicles

7.7K

Homemade Fudge Pops that are less than 100 calories? Yes, please! Summer is here, and so is the need for a delicious treat that helps you beat the heat! So, we decided that the perfect warm weather recipe that you can easily make at home are popsicles! The great thing about making popsicles at home is that you can customize them any way you want, plus you know exactly what ingredients are in them. We were tempted to make a light and fruity popsicle, but it will have to wait for another day because the chocolate cravings hit. Therefore, we decided on homemade fudge pops!

The perfect pairing with chocolate other than more chocolate has to be fruit, so we decided to add in some fresh raspberries to these homemade fudge pops. They are so rich and fudgy, and the raspberries create a brilliant combination! The intense chocolate flavor mixed with the bold, tart raspberry taste makes for a perfect summertime treat!

We used non-fat vanilla greek yogurt to break up the very strong chocolate flavor, but feel free to use plain greek yogurt to make it richer in taste. Also, we opted for almond milk for a low calorie option, but feel free to use any milk option that you prefer. See what we mean? Making these popsicles at home makes it very easy to customize them the exact way that you like! 🙂

Lastly, we love these for a quick craving crusher when you want something chocolate. These are so rich in flavor that they easily curb the cravings, and for less than 100 calories! Yay!

What You Need

Popsicle mold (click here to view the one that we used, but you can use whatever mold you want)

1 cup non-fat vanilla greek yogurt (or plain)

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

2/3 cup maple syrup (or honey)

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup fresh raspberries, cut in halves

Step by Step

  1. Add all of  your ingredients (except for your raspberries) in a blender or processor, and mix until smooth.
  2. Fill your popsicle molds with the mix, dropping in raspberries as your pour. Add as many or as little as you want. We added about 5 – 6 pieces per popsicle.
  3. Place the popsicle mold cover on top, and place popsicle sticks to each mold through the hole.
  4. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  5. To remove popsicles from the mold, let them sit on the counter for about 5 minutes. Run the molds until lukewarm water to help the popsicles release from the mold easier. Serve immediately.
