Another classic cookie all cookie lovers need to master is THE delicious Snickerdoodle. It’s a cookie that has the perfect combination of sugar and cinnamon. Plus, it is light, soft, and chewy! I have created batch after batch of these using several different recipes. This one is by far my favorite. This recipe is guaranteed to get these on the table and in your mouth in under 20 minutes. They will not disappoint, I promise!

- You will need Cream of Tartar (you can find this in the baking isle)
What You Need
Dry Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for topping)
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon (for topping)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (light)
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Liquid/Other Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter softened/room temperature (salted)
- 1 egg and 1 egg yolk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Step By Step
- Set your oven to 325 degrees.
- In a small/medium bowl combine your cinnamon and sugar for rolling the dough in later. Set aside.
- Line your baking sheet(s) with parchment paper or a silicon mat.
- In a large bowl mix your butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add in your egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Mix until combined.
- Mix in your salt, baking soda, cream of tartar, and cinnamon. Mix until combined.
- Slowly mix in your flour until just combined.
- Scoop out 1-2 Tbsp. of dough and roll into a ball. Then roll that ball into your cinnamon/sugar mixture you set aside earlier. Do this for each ball and place on your baking sheet 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes.
