Y’all. Can we please talk about the fact that it is already March? How!? 2018 is seriously bringing it, and bringing it hard. Don’t get me wrong. The new year has brought with it lots of exciting opportunities, but with lots of excitement comes packed schedules. Packed schedules commonly leads to lots of stress. More importantly, lots of stress leads to less sleep, which is no bueno when it comes to keeping up with all the great things 2018 has in store for us. So, let’s get serious together and get some sleep people!
“I don’t really like to sleep ?…” – said no one, ever! If you ever meet someone who says this to you…run. They are most likely the devil, or a vampire.
Anyways…back to today’s post. Sleep is so important! And, yours truly needs lots of it to power through her day. This is where this DIY Lavender Sleep Spray comes in. With all of the stress that comes our way each day, it is essential to be able to unwind and really get the rest and relaxation we need at night. Deep sleep is what I am talking about. I am always in need of any assistance when it comes to turning off my brain. That is why I think this spray is a miracle in a bottle. It truly helps to calm my mind and preps my body for a better night’s sleep.
This DIY Sleep Spray is so simple to make and infused with very simple ingredients.
Lavender – this essential oil is very common in sleep sprays for obvious reasons…it has a calming scent, thus it helps to induce sleep. Studies also show that is helps to calm nerves and assist with anxiety (hell to the yes!). ??
Frankincense – also popular in all sorts of aroma therapy, this essential oil promotes calmness, relaxation & deep breathing for staying healthy. Deep breathing is where it’s at, so sign me up!
Dark colored spray bottles – using a dark colored bottle (cobalt blue, like we used, or a dark brown is very popular) versus a clear bottle is purely to protect the essential oils against UV rays so they continue to work as they should.
Witch Hazel – this ingredient’s role is to help the essential oils to disperse evenly and not settle at the bottom of your spray bottle.
Don’t worry, I linked the adorable sleep eye mask in the pictures below. You’re welcome. ?
Now, go get some serious sleep, babes! 🙂
